Class feedback

What have I learnt so far?
I've learnt more about the people in my class, to start with. Blogs are quite a powerful tool for people to represent themselves. In terms of what I've learned in English, well, I think that the whole 'show, don't tell' lesson was useful. Most of the time I manage to avoid falling into that particular pitfall, but the lesson did give me some useful tips on how to write well.

One thing I enjoy about this class:
I find the discussions interesting - I think we all enjoy sharing our viewpoints. It's quite interesting to see all the different sides to any given story or subject. I think the rules for the discussions work well, aside from the occasional  'hubbub'.

One thing we could do differently:
I think we could implement some more rules for the discussions - I'm hesitant about the so-called 'three card rule', but we might want to implement some rules to keep discussions on-track and away from the hubbub.

  1. I could have sworn we were in middle school and not kindergarten. I agree with you on the 'three card rule'; we're in eighth grade and i'm pretty sure if we had anything we thought worth contributing to the conversation we would speak up, and I don't think there should be a limit to what we can say in one day either, I for one enjoy listening to the many side conversations that take place during the common hubbub.

    1. I am open to any ideas from all of you. Think on it and get back to us.

I just think we need to figure out a way that we can all get in our say if we have something important to say, but at the same time avoid hubbubs.
